Mrs. Mary M. Ross is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of S&M Developers. S&M Developers was founded in 2015. She has made record breaking numbers since starting S&M Developers. Working side-by-side with her husband, she has fully embraced her new title as “Entrepreneur". Mary Ross is also the founder of her beloved GNO Movement, GNO is the acronym or Girls Night Out which began in 2019 as a social gathering to celebrate her sister's fiftieth birthday. Now fast forward to 2021 she have connected with thousands of business women and celebrated eighteen Movers and Shakers throughout Georgia.
She is an International Best Selling Author, a Coach, a Mentor, a Motivational and Transformative Speaker. She is the "Go To" person for building your business or platform.
Mary Ross catapulted into the limelight when she accepted the role as NAACP Executive Director in 2009. She served in the second highest position within the organization. Not to mention, making history as the youngest person to serve in that role. She came highly recommended to NAACP-Atlanta branch under the tutelage of Judge Louise T. Hornsby. She has worked on high profile cases such as Eric Jones, Troy Davis, Trayvon Martin, Kendrick Johnson and so many other cases that go unnoticed. She also has worked with Former Mayor Ambassador Andrew Young, Mayor Bill Campbell, Mayor Kasim Reed, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Steve Harvey Foundation, and a host of celebrities and other public officials.
Also, Mrs. Ross has over ten years’ experience working directly with state prisons and county jails teaching inmates about biblical and economic principals. She is the Co-Founder of DHMR, Inc., whose mission is to stop mass incarceration and recidivism. She believes knowledge is power and loves to educate and motivate our youth on setting educational goals. She has worked relentlessly with her community to implement reader programs and youth leadership summits. She founded Project WOR Youth Intervention and Prevention program for at-risk youth in 2013 and made national news for their inaugural graduating class. She is also one of the Founders and President of Unique Sister Empowerment Group. She has served on several boards and enjoys impacting and making a change in the community.
Not only is she experience and passionate about her community, she has accomplished a great deal within her educational background as well. In 2009, she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from DeVry University. She also earned a Master’s in Public Administration from Strayer University in 2013. Mrs. Ross recently graduated from United Way VIP Program for Non-Profit Executives. She’s also looking forward to starting her Doctoral program in mid-2017 at Andrew School of Public Policy.
Mrs. Ross was nominated in 2010 to be on the board of Community Relations and Industry Advisory Council for Atlanta Job Corporation. She was appointed to the 14th Commission of Atlanta for Mrs. Ella Mae Brayboy who is the Godmother of civil rights in 2011. In 2013 she received the “Rising Star” award from her Alma Mata DeVry University. In 2014, she received the “Phoenix Award” from the NAACP Win Program as one of Atlanta’s Influential Women. Mrs. Ross has been featured on V103, WAOK, PRAISE 102.5 FM, 107.5 FM, Fox, ABC, NY Times and countless other media outlets. She made national news in 2014 for a successful community initiative “Gun buyback program” alongside her President Dr. RL White. She raised over 100,000 and got 900 guns off the streets of Atlanta. She hosted an annual Sock Drive and Turkey Drive with Unique Sister Empowerment Group reaching hundreds of people every year. She has graced many platforms; from elementary schools to colleges, panels to galas, board rooms to the pulpits and from marching through the streets of Atlanta to marching in Washington, D.C.. She has trained and empowered numerous of citizens at the ballot box. She is a voice for the community and an advocate for the disenfranchise and the less fortunate. She prides herself on being a “Servant Leader”.
Mrs. Mary Ross was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She is married with four beautiful children and six grandchildren; she is dedicated to her family and love spending quality time with them.
